Walls CAD is a Finnish program that enables you to draw and
design log walls quickly. It is meant for creating authentic
architectural plans and is quickly implemented. And you don't have to
draw with a mouse, either - Log Walls does the drawing for you. |
You
can print the walls directly from the Log Walls program or save the
drawings to a DXF file. The file can be opened in almost all CAD
programs or in a number of other drawing programs. The program runs in
a Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP or a similar environment. |
Some
functions:
Draw a new picture: Feed in
the information about walls and holes. The program automatically does
the timberwork for the drawing, sizing down and labeling the logs,
creating a profile catalogue of the logs and calculates the materials
needed for the log frame, drawing every wall according to the given
measures.
Change current picture: As
you modify or move a hole, the program automatically fixes the sizes
and log labels.
Change/move the wall. The program
automatically fixes crossing walls, wall measures and log labels.

Why LogWalls CAD?
You often hear people in the trade
saying: "I'll take an old log diagram and change it, it won't take too
long." It probably won't, but it'll still be faster with the LogWalls
program.
We'd also like to bring up another
factor that usually doesn't come into mind. When changing an old log
house drawing with any system, think about the following:
- As you change
the size/location of a hole, do the log lines, labels and measures
refresh automatically? -> in LogWalls they do, as does the ground
plan.
- When you move a
wall, do crossing walls and their places update automatically? -> In
LogWalls they do.
When building a house, one mistake
you didn't do when using LogWalls makes the program pay
itself back.
